Vancouver is offering spa packages and cocktails for Vancouver 2010 Olympics-themed inspiration. See Yew Restaurant + Bar at the Four Seasons Hotel, Vida Spa & Skoah Spa.

Western Canada welcomes the world from February 12 to 28, 2010 and March 12 to 21, 2010 for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games and paralympic games. But some businesses in Vancouver are already setting up some deals for those to get a taste of what’s to come in British Columbia.

Four Seasons Hotel Olympic-Themed Cocktails

Yes, that’s right: cocktails that have been concocted specifically for the Olympics by Mixologist Justin Taylor. Yew Restaurant + Bar at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Vancouver thinks that medals deserve some credit. So go on in and choose from the following cocktails:

The Gold: This one represents Vancouver 2010 and is meant to be paired with smoked salmon. BC-made gin is infused with dill and cucumber and given fresh citrus, egg white and a candied smoked salmon garnish.

The Silver: Remember Calgary 1988? Here comes a new Caesar with buffalo jerky infused vodka with chilli peppers, house-made clamato juice and horseradish.

The Bronze: Think back to Montreal in 1976 for this blend. Canadian rye whiskey is infused with Quebec maple sugar and granny smith apple, all crusted with brulée. Mmmm.

Four Seasons Hotel:

Vida Spa and Skoah Spa Treatments in Vancouver

Thought Olympic fun was relegated to sports? Try games-inspired spa treatments. Vida Spa (1-800-401-4018) starts celebrating on February 1, 2010 with three Olympic ideas: The Gold Medal Facial, Silver Medal Facial and Bronze Medal Glow. Each is mineral-themed and based on the ancient Indian science of Ayurveda.

Vida Spa locations:

  • Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel
  • Sutton Place Hotel (Vancouver)
  • Fairmont Chateau Whistler
  • Pan Pacific Hotel (Seattle)
  • Westin Bayshore, opening fall 2009 (Vancouver)

Skoah Spa has launched what it’s calling “Skin Athletes.” Although not products customers can use, these are actual professional athletes who are testing the Skoah products and giving their feedback. Their faces are “sponsored’ by Skoah and they will be featured in future Skoah events for customers to meet.

There are five athletes signed up so far: Sarah Burke, Allie Bertram, Tommy Europe, Catherine Bruhwiler and Robin Van Gyn.

Skoah locations:

  • 1011 Hamilton Street, Vancouver (604-642-0200)

Another update are the Olympic pizza deals at Campagnolo Restaurant (1020 Main Street, 604-484-6018; open for lunch Monday – Friday from 11:30am – 2:30pm, brunch on Saturday & Sunday from 11:30am – 2:30pm, and dinner nightly from 5pm). Pizzas named The Gold, Silver and Bronze are paired with specialty brews. Deals from January 1 until March 31, 2010.

From the restaurant:
"Throughout the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Campagnolo’s wine bar will show sporting events on its big-screen TV. If a guest has ordered one of the pizza specials and a Canadian athlete wins a gold, silver or bronze medal (while the guest is in the restaurant) in any sport that matches the namesake pizza that the guest ordered, that guest’s meal is on the house."
